Inductor Design for Blanks in Different Sizes

  • This article mainly introduces the inductor design for blanks in different sizes based on specific induction heating power supply. Firstly, the inductance parameters of inductors are derived from the parameters of the existing induction heating power supply. Then, the structure of the inductor is designed assuming that the quality and size of the two blanks are given according to actual situation. Finally, the feasibility of design idea of inductor is verified by the simulation of the commercial software Comsol. The simulation results show that 45 steel blank of 10 kg and 2 kg have reached 1 600℃ at 5 610 s and 349 s respectively under the induction heating of the rated power supply of 50kW, which proves the feasibility to design the inductor by a specific power supply and the size of blank. This method also greatly shortens the cycle of manufacture and experiment of inductors.
