Reform and Practice of Experimental Teaching of Marine Environmental Monitoring

  • Marine environmental monitoring courses are a compulsory course for marine related majors, and there are many problems like other similar courses. According to the curriculum characteristics of marine environmental monitoring and teaching practice in recent years, this article proposes a variety of teaching methods, such as cultivating students’ independent thinking ability as teaching goals, simplifying experimental instructional textbooks, expanding teaching space, comprehensive discussion, and question-based. Based on the principles of teaching and assessment combined with theoretical teaching and social practice requirements, a variety of reform measures for experimental assessment of students are proposed, such as reviewing homework, experimental operations and results, and experimental reports. Practice has shown that this teaching reform has achieved good results in stimulating students’ experimental interest, cultivating and improving students’ autonomous learning and thinking ability.
