Innovative Study of Chemical Talents Training Based on Experiment Competition

  • This article proposes a training mode for chemical undergraduate students through the National College Students Chemical Engineering Experiment Competition. Applying their theoretical knowledge to experiment and simulation through competition not only consolidates students' basic knowledge, but also enhances their hands-on ability, innovative thinking and teamwork spirit, and familiarize them with the actual business and production of chemical industry. The National College Students Chemical Engineering Experiment Competition further enable changes to chemical curriculum such as increasing laboratory safety training through simulation, which will enrich teaching content, improve teaching methods, integrate learning and practice, and increase flexibility. Meanwhile, teachers participate in competition as organizers or judges, which will promote communication and mutual learning among universities, diversify teaching, improve teachers’ overall quality, and provide an effective way for the cultivation of new type of chemical professionals.
