Design of a Music Fountain Based on SCM

Abstract
A small size music fountain system has been built up with MSP430F5529 and STM32F103 as controllers. To extract the frequency spectrum, fast Fourier transform (FFT) is used calculated by SCM. And the height of water columns is determined by PWM waves, so that different water columns of the fountain show frequency spectrum of music. A method for two SCMs is introduced to communicate with each other. Through verification of experiments, the system is reliable and has a high accuracy in frequency sampling. Production process of this device involves SCM controlling method, Fast Fourier Transform, communication by serial ports, PWM waves and so on, which have high theoretical and practical value.
