Application of Core Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Apparatus in Undergraduate Experiment Teaching

  • In order to help undergraduates majored in applied geophysics master the principle and application method of core nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus and improve the experimental teaching effect, this paper has described the principle, technical parameters, parameter adjustment and function of core nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus, at the same time designed an experiment of core sample nuclear magnetic resonancemeasurement in the undergraduate course. Furthermore, two open innovation experiments are developed, which are a good complement to theoretical teaching. These experiments have enabled the students to consolidate the concept of nuclear magnetic resonance and relaxation time, and acquire the measurement methods of transverse relaxation time T2 and longitudinal relaxation time T1 of core samples. Therefore, not only their practical and scientific inquiry abilities are cultivated, but also the scientific literacy is improved. In a word, the apparatus plays an irreplaceable role in teaching and can be popularized and applied in universities with similar apparatus.
