Abstract
Comprehensive and designed experiments can better stimulate students’ interest in learning and cultivate their scientific research thinking. To promote the teaching reform and laboratory construction of Double First-Class major in Xinjiang University and train students to become application-oriented innovative talents, a comprehensive experimental teaching case was designed based on the determination of the activity of formate dehydrogenase in plant leaves by potentiometric titration, which has been successfully applied to the experimental teaching of undergraduate students in chemical specialty. The teaching practice showed that the case was closely connected with the experimental teaching of undergraduate basic course, emphasizing the process integrity and coherence of problem elicitation, solution thinking and practice-based verification. The design was not only creative and initiative, but also comprehensive and practical. It could effectively inspire and cultivate students’ innovative thinking and practical ability, suitable for chemical, environmental, biological and other related professional senior undergraduate experimental teaching.
