Research on the Adaptability of Engineering Training Course to PBL Teaching Model

  • In order to improve the teaching quality and better accomplish the teaching goals, it is necessary to adopt a new teaching model for engineering training course. Firstly, this paper describes the teaching goals and curriculum of engineering training course, and introduces the characteristics of PBL teaching model. The introduction is followed by the analytical research on the adaptability of engineering training course to PBL teaching model, from the aspects of teaching arrangement of engineering training, the design of “problems”, teaching faculty of engineering training, students’ all-round abilities, role of teacher and student, teaching site and equipment resources and environment, among others. It is advocated that PBL teaching model should be gradually applied in course teaching of mechanical engineering training.
