Research on the Undergraduate Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Experiment Reform

  • Given a natural science based on experiment of life science, undergraduate experiment teaching presents an important course for the cultivation of biotechnology talents in universities. As the basis of life science, biochemistry and molecular biology are the most rapidly developed and the most active frontier fields in natural sciences. Therefore, experimental teaching in biochemistry and molecular biology is also an important part of the cultivation of biotechnology talents. Along with the development of research techniques in biochemistry and molecular biology are higher requirements raised for the undergraduate experimental teaching. At the same time, as the “people-oriented” concept is deeply rooted among the people, the teaching process should pay more attention to the environmental protection and personal safety of teachers and students while emphasizes the improvement of students’ professional ability. Based on the two requirements, some explorations in continuous improvement of the teaching contents and experimental methods in biochemistry and molecular biology have been carried out in recent years, aiming to meet the needs of social development and life science technology development.
