Experimental Design of Ice Crushing Resistance of Ship Model

  • Teaching experiment is an important link to realize the combination of theory and practice in the teaching process, and ship model resistance experiment is an important method to study ship resistance. At present, with the changes of international situation and polar climate, the resources, channels and scientific research value in polar areas have drawn more and more attention. Icebreakers and ice-strengthening vessels are the basis of polar development. The polar sea area is covered by sea ice all the year round, so the research of ice crushing resistance is becoming increasingly important. The current textbooks involve too little content on ice crushing resistance, and are short of combining theory with practice. Therefore, in the teaching process of additional resistance, the experiment of ice crushing resistance of ship model is added to strengthen the students' understanding of ice crushing resistance.
