Practice and Reflection on the Experimental Skills Competition of Seed Science

Conducting the discipline competition can not only improve the undergraduates’ professional awareness, but also enhance their comprehensive quality and stimulate their innovative thinking. This article introduces the organization and implementation process of The First Seed Dissection Competition which was successfully held in Huazhong Agricultural University in 2019, and also summarizes the inadequacies of the skills competition and puts forward effective suggestions on the problem. It was aimed to make the skills competition truly become an effective practical teaching way to promote the cultivation of innovative talents.
