Hybrid Experimental Teaching Design and Practice for Hydraulic Engineering Construction Based on Virtual Simulation

  • As the strong practicalness of the course of hydraulic engineering construction always leads to issues such as poor effects on comprehensive ability training based on traditional teaching methods, a virtual simulation platform was designed and established for hydraulic engineering construction. Accordingly, a hybrid teaching mode for the virtual simulation of the course of hydraulic engineering construction defined as “offline design & online visualization” was thus established as well as an innovative practical teaching system named “virtual simulation experiment & traditional course design”. The practical results indicated that the teaching mode can meet the teaching requirements and the cognitive rules, which is effective and beneficial in improving the ability of solving the complicated engineering problems involving the construction fields. Further optimized, the innovative teaching mode may broadly used as a new practical teaching idea in the professional fields of water conservancy and civil engineering.
