Abstract
The new medical education model puts forward high standards and high requirements on how to cultivate the innovative potential of medical students. The conduct of the challenging course “functional experiment” in School of Medicine in University of Electronic Science and Technology of China provides a systematic and comprehensive guidance and training for medical students to contact scientific research in the early stage of basic medicine. According to the problems existing in the disulfiram-like reaction of the clinical interaction between antibiotics and ethanol, the project designed experiments to explore the effect of Ornidazole combined with different concentrations of ethanol to induce disulfiram-like reaction in mice. The experimental practice was successfully applied to the experimental course of undergraduate students majoring in clinical medicine. The practical results show that the case is of moderate difficulty, closely connected with the functional experimental teaching of undergraduate, which has good innovation and feasibility, and can effectively enlighten and cultivate students’ innovative thinking and practical ability. It is suitable for undergraduate experimental teaching in clinical medicine and other related majors.
