Abstract
According to the action program of “Made-in-China 2025” which is closely conforming to the intelligent upgrading and green development of manufacturing industry, a virtual simulation experimental platform for laser cladding is developed based on Unity3D, and a new operating mechanism of experimental teaching system which advocates “virtual-reality combination, university-enterprise cooperation, and teaching-research parallel” is proposed with consideration of the integration between industries and education. Taking advantage of the experimental platform, the whole functions of object selection, process planning, parameter determination, program debugging, process simulation, simulation operation, evaluation feedback, field experiment, machine learning and experiment summary can be performed. Owing to problem-driving instead of process-driving, this platform embodied the interactivity, autonomy, open-ended nature and intelligence of the experimental process. It can provide a positive paradigm for emerging engineering professional talents training by means of integrating the superior resources of university and enterprise, and it finds a new way to explore experimental teaching mode under the background of the need of industrial innovation.
