Design and Application of Pocket-type Traffic Signal Control Experiment System

In view of the shortcomings of the existing experimental teaching methods and promoting the close combination of experimental teaching theory and practice, a pocket-type traffic signal control experimental system is designed. The system is mainly composed of single-chip microcomputer control module and signal lamp module. It is small in size and easy to carry, and student can carry out experiments anytime and anywhere. The application results show that this experimental system can not only realize the knowledge integration and mastery of basic courses and professional courses, but also fully mobilize students’ enthusiasm and creativity in learning, and effectively improve students’ professional knowledge awareness level, practical ability and exploratory design ability.
