Abstract
Biomass-derived carbon dots, which are synthesized by the one-step hydrothermal treatment of biowaste ginkgo leaf in aqueous solution, can be used for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles. In the presence of NaBH4, the silver nanoparticles have catalytic properties for the reductive decolorization of organic dyes methyl orange and rhodamine 6G. This experiment exposes students to the fields of edge nanotechnology, analytical chemistry, catalytic and kinetic analysis, from which the students’ comprehensive experiment abilities have been remarkably improved. It also provides a reference for the reformation of analytical chemistry experiment teaching.
