Construction of Large-scale Instrument Platform in Colleges and Universities Based on Practical Education and Innovative Talent Training

  • The large-scale instrument platform plays an important role in scientific and technological innovation in colleges and universities. It is also a training base to cultivate innovative talents. This paper discusses the opportunities and challenges which the large-scale the instrument platform in colleges and universities is facing under the background of scientifically constructing the new mode of practical education. Taking the inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) large-scale instrument platform of the analysis and testing center of Tianjin University as an example, the exploration of the university level public platform in the cultivation of innovative talents is introduced. The design and development example of innovative practical projects based on the large-scale instrument platform is expounded in detail. Relying on the practical projects, the ICP-MS instrument platform has achieved substantial results in the cultivation of innovative talents, which has good demonstration and promotion significance.
