Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Experimental Teaching Practice in Biomedical Engineering

  • Based on the multidisciplinary nature of biomedical engineering, this paper investigates the comprehensive experimental teaching design.Using a project-based learning approach, we have conducted a variety of experiments. A comprehensive experiment design was introduced on the topic of ‘The application of conductive hydrogel materials in flexible electronics and the human body’. These experiments encompass the preparation of conductive hydrogel, the evaluation of material performance, and the detection of electrical signals on flexible electrode surfaces. Furthermore, physiological signals are analyzed using Python. We have developed a ‘medical materials+’ teaching system that integrates expertise in electronics, computer information processing, and materials science. The experimental arrangement breaks through the limitations of chapter experiments and effectively increases the depth and breadth of professional instruction by reflecting the intersection and integration of biomedical engineering disciplines.
