Abstract
To address the shortcomings of traditional experimental teaching, such as inadequate pre-class reviewing experimental courses and lack of training in experimental design thinking, the Experimental Teaching Center has developed a biological scientific research training platform using virtual simulation and information technology. This platform comprises five modules: (1) Drawing of mind maps for experimental design; (2) Construction of virtual experimental procedures; (3) Data collection of hands-on experiments; (4) Collation and compilation of experimental reports; and (5) Review and learning of excellent experimental projects. This platform enables the comprehensive life-cycle management of biological experimental projects, representing a novel attempt to reform traditional biological experimental teaching model. By combining online and offline approaches, it enhances the effectiveness of biological experimental teaching and project management efficiency, while strengthening the cultivation of students' scientific research and innovative thinking abilities.
