Exploration of a New Internship Model for Polymer Materials Major Based on Virtual Simulation Teaching

  • Minister of Education Huai JinPeng stated at the 14th National People’s Congress that in order to better seize opportunities and meet challenges, it is essential to actively embrace technological and industrial transformations and proactively enter the intelligent era. This study aims to explore a new teaching model for polymer material professional internships based on virtual simulation and assess its impact on student learning outcomes. By integrating virtual simulation technology into the polymer material professional internship courses, a new teaching model that combines virtual simulation experiments with actual internships has been designed. Through questionnaire surveys and assessments of student performance, the study compared the learning effects of students before and after the implementation of this model. The research results indicate that compared to traditional internship models, the virtual simulation-based teaching model can significantly enhance students’ learning enthusiasm and internship effectiveness, with an average excellent rate of 89.5% across various assessments. The exploration and advancement of this new teaching model hold significant theoretical and practical importance for improving the teaching effectiveness of polymer material professional internships.
