Research and Practice on Informatization Construction of University Laboratory Based on EHS Idea

Conventional laboratories are burdened with the scarcity of digital resources and inefficiency of management in terms of education, teaching and safety management. Pushing informatization construction of university laboratory is an efficient path to promote its comprehensive service capability and the ability of student for innovative practice. Considering the current situation of insufficient digital teaching resource, low level of intelligent space environment and not advanced security control measure in the associated experimental center, the guiding significance of “embracing EHS concept and supported by information technology” construction approach is discussed. Exploration experience of laboratory informatization construction is conducted with the enhancement of virtual teaching resource, the establishment of an intelligent perceptual environment system and the integration of laboratory safety management digital platforms. The practice shows that the laboratory is able to operate safely and stably based on the construction of various informatization systems. Furthermore, it ensures the enhancement of educational service quality, which meets the demand for cultivating engineering innovation talents.
