Research on the Application of Load Simulation Device Based on Fuzzy PID in the Teaching of Intelligent Manufacturing Technology and Equipment

  • In order to address the shortage of experimental teaching resources in the reform of higher education in China and promote the construction of new engineering disciplines, a series-type electric load simulator for teaching has been designed. This simulator can emulate external loads on equipment such as machine tool spindles, CNC machine tools, and industrial robots under actual working conditions, and effectively load the equipment through given simulated operational load signals. It can help students better grasp theoretical knowledge in course experiments. The teaching-oriented load simulator presented in this paper is developed through the following steps: firstly, the characteristics of main drive forms are analyzed, and the overall configuration design of the loading device is determined; secondly, based on functional requirements and overall scheme planning, the structure and loading method of the simulator are determined as series structure and electric loading; then, in the control system of the loading device, an explicit force controller based on fuzzy PID is constructed; finally, a single-degree-of-freedom constant load test is conducted using the load simulator. The test results demonstrate that the loading system exhibits minimal error in constant-value loading and meets the requirements for high-precision constant-load applications.
