Teaching Research on QR Code-Based “Code Course” for Cognitive Practice in Civil Engineering

  • QR code technology has deeply penetrated various aspects of life and learning, and is highly popular among students. To stimulate university students' interest in learning, cultivate their abilities in independent exploration and engineering practice, and enhance their multi-dimensional understanding of real-world engineering, QR code technology has been applied to the cognitive practice teaching of civil engineering. This paper introduces the design concept, production method, application steps, future prospects, and practical outcomes of using QR codes in civil engineering cognitive practice. By leveraging QR code technology, a new model is formed that combines multimedia resources with small-scale static models, addressing the shortcomings of traditional civil engineering cognitive practice teaching, such as high safety risks, high costs, and limited content in field visits. This approach enhances students’ learning autonomy, strengthens teacher-student interaction, and can serve as a reference for reforming practical teaching models in universities.
