Innovative Experimental Design for Material Mechanics Under New Engineering

Under the background of the construction of “new engineering” proposed by the Ministry of Education, in view of the contradiction between the traditional experimental teaching mode of material mechanics in Chongqing mechanics experimental teaching demonstration center and the training requirements of national creative talents, the innovative reform is carried out in the aspects of teaching content, mode and assessment by taking engineering examples as the guidance and increasing innovative experiments. Through the teaching reform, it can not only improve the enthusiasm of students’ learning, but also extend the knowledge and ability mastered in the course to Zhou Peiyuan mechanics competition, college students’ structural design competition and other mechanics competition and mechanics related innovation projects and graduation design, so as to cultivate students ' ability to innovate and solve practical engineering problems.
