Construction and Experimental Teaching of a Distributed Collaborative Dual-mode Simulation Experimental Platform for Traffic Safety

  • In order to better address the new problems and challenges posed by intelligent driving, autonomous driving, and vehicle road collaboration technology in traffic human safety research, a distributed collaborative dual-mode simulation experimental platform for traffic safety will be constructed. This platform supports six degrees of freedom simulation driving of real vehicles and collaborative driving of multiple vehicle subsystems, with a mixed reality dual-mode view, which can better support the experimental teaching of traffic human safety direction. A series of experimental projects have been developed based on this platform. This article focuses on the evaluation of driver mental load based on collaborative driving and the impact of weather on driver psychological load represented by steering wheel angle entropy. The content, objectives, and evaluation methods of experimental teaching are advanced, innovative and challenging, improve students' ability to solve complex engineering problems, and effectively promote the achievement of course training objectives and the improvement of teaching quality.
