Abstract
For better use of pigs mandibles as models in endodontic surgery, the study assesses 4 anatomical data in pigs.61 pigs mandibles were selected. All the anatomical data was measured with a vernier caliper.SPSS software was used to analyze the data. The average length of the clinical crown was(7.351.63)mm, and the average tooth length was(28.842.84)mm.The average distance between the root apex and buccal surface of the bone was (4.021.37)mm. Most of the root apex (57.38%) was above the mandibular canal. The experiment found that the relationship between the root apex and mandibular canal can be used for predicting the location of the root apex.
