Experimental Research of Flow Coefficient for Free Outflow of the Flat Sluice

We set up an experimental model of hydraulics, and analyze the free outflow flow of flat sluice. One can obtain the experimental data of the flat sluice freedom flow coefficient by calculation. In comparison with the experimental data and calculated values which is calculated by three commonly different kinds of freedom flow coefficient empirical formula, which can provide an experimental basis for the select of calculating formula of engineering applications. By curve fitting method, one proposed calculation method of free flow coefficient based on a quadratic function, which can provide a new reference for the flow calculation.
