Design of a Device for Chlorine and Sodium Metal Reaction

  • This paper designed a simple experiment device of chlorine and metallic sodium reaction based U-shaped glass tubes. This device is divided into three regions, area 1 for chlorine preparation, area 2 for the tail gas absorption, area 3 for sodium metal place. The operation is simple, green, pollution-free and cheap, it can complete many similar gas-solid reaction and the experiment verification of gas properties. The device is used to the chemical experiment teaching in middle school.
