Exploration into Chemistry Experiment Teaching Reform of the Newly-Built Universities in the West

The newly-built universities are mostly built in the west of the medium-sized cities,and there exist some problems in the chemistry experiments in the newly-built universities.This paper analyzes the characteristics of the newly-built universities in the west and the actuality of chemistry experiment with the traditional teaching mode.Specific measures for the teaching reform of chemistry experiment were proposed.It includes:the experimental teaching methods which are reformed to improve students’ learning initiative; the experiment teaching contents which is used to enhance students’ learning enthusiasm; the experimental teaching mode which is perfected to raise the students’ comprehensive ability.All departments responsibility is cleared to ensure the safety of the laboratory.Rich content of the laboratory is selected and a variety of achievements appraisal way is set out.At last,the problems needed to be solved in the teaching reform were pointed out.
