Modification of the Inducing Method for the Differentiation of 3T3-L1 Cells with High Frequency of Doubling Towards Mature Adipocytes

The murine pre-adipocyte cell 3T3-L1 is widely used in the research related to the fat metabolism,obesity and diabetes etc,in which the successful induced differentiation of 3T3-T1 to mature adipocytes is the start point,but many laboratories are encountered the failure of induced differentiation with the classical induction method.To modify the classical induction method to increase the success rate,particularly towards the 3T3-L1 with around 10 times of doubling.Firstly,the start point to initiate the differentiation was set at the 70 confluence rather than 2 days after 100 confluence;Secondly,cell wells were pre-treated with gelatin.The modified method increased the success rate greatly.The modified method was at least suitable for the 3T3-L1 with around 10 times of doubling.
