Research and Realization on the Rendering of Ocean

  • In order to simulate the ocean system of natural scene more realisticly, improve application quality in the important fields such as oceanic exploration, films, games, military simulation and so on, a reserch about ocean surface grid modeling, height fields calculating and texture mapping is carried out. On the other hand, in order to satisfy the real-time ability and eliability during running, the algorithm of projected grid, Perlin noise and the technique of normal disturbance are respectively adopted.What’s more,the algorithm of projected grid is optimized and the grid projecting of inhomogeneous visual plane is carried out. As a result, an ocean system with realistic shape, movement mode and environment is formed. The system has good real-time ability and eliability through verification.
