The Improvement of University Chemistry of TLC Experiment

  • In order to find a low toxicity and easy operation method of thin layer chromatography experiment, traditional method of membrane separation for mixtures of anisaldehyde and vanillin was improved, this paper investigated the optimization design of the solvent, developing agent .absolute ethanol was selected as the solvent.At the same time, petroleum ether and ethyl acetate (the ratio was 7∶3) were selected as developing solvent .Acidic potassium permanganate was selected as chromomeric agent to replace the toxicity of higher benzene and 2, 4 dinitrobenzene hydrazine hydrochloride solvent.The steps, cost and time of experiment was reduced.The new scheme reduced harm of people health and pollute the environment.The method could separate anisaldehyde and vanillin from mixtures .
