Exploration and Improvement of Synthetic Experiment of Porphyrin

  • Porphyrins are a kind of aromatic and nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds. Because they exhibit some significant physiological function, people pay more attention to the artificial synthesis of porphyrins. Synthetic Experiment of Porphyrin is helpful for students to improve the experimental skills including synthesis, separation and purification. Additionally, this experiment will also help the students are familiar with the spectral methods, i.e. the ultraviolet -visible absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum. Considering the safety, environment protection, and operational convenience, we optimized the experiments details in our work, including the choice of experimental strategy, synthetic steps, the separation of the products, as well as the spectral measurement.
