The Construction and Teaching Application of Experimental Platformfor Auditory Behavior to Mandarin

  • The existing language and auditory researches mainly focuses on non-tone languages such as English,and the research on Chinese hearing is limited.In this paper,we use the graphic user interface of MATLAB and combine the mixed programming to realize the experimental platform of Chinese auditory behavior.This experimental platform was applied to experimental teaching and experimental research,and the effects of different noise levels,different tones,and different pitch differences on auditory cognition of Chinese-speaking subjects were analyzed.The results show that the greater the noise,the lower the accuracy of the judgment of pitch by the auditory cognitive system and the shorter the reaction time;the greater difference in pitch,the higher the accuracy of judgment and the shorter the reaction time.This experimental platform can be effectively applied to study and teach the auditory behavior to mandarin.
