Development of Derivative Assistant Teaching Demonstration SystemBased on MATLAB GUI

  • In this paper,based on the mathematical ideas contained in the derivative concept in the course of higher mathematics and the present situation of its teaching,has developed a multimedia assisted instruction demonstration system provided by MATLAB software and with its symbol toolbox.The system consists of two parts:“the concept of the derivative and its geometric meaning”and“the application of the derivative”.Compared with the traditional teaching demonstration system,the system has good human-computer interaction,and can realize the quantitative analysis of the demonstration results.Therefore,the system is more close to the actual teaching practice.Practice shows that the use of this system can stimulate students' interest in learning and improve the quality of classroom teaching.
