Abstract
By plotting the polarization curves of carbon steel electrodes in 2 mol/L ammonium carbonate solution with different concentrations of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB)or sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),it can be seen that the addition of surfactant can improve the corrosion inhibition efficiency of carbon steel electrodes. The results showed that the maximum current density is reduced, and the stable passivation area is not much different, indicating that it can inhibit corrosion within a certain concentration range. The corrosion inhibition efficiency was 47.84% when 0.001 mol/L CTAB was added, and the inhibition efficiency was 29.01% when 0.002 0 mol/L SDS was added. The possible reason for the improvement of corrosion inhibition efficiency was high surface activity of the surfactant Preference is given to the formation of protective layer on the surface of carbon steel. The experiment can be applied to comprehensive design experiments to cultivate students innovative practice ability.
