Investigation of Reaction Kinetics Experiment Teaching for Chemical Engineering

  • Chemical reaction kinetics is the main content of the reaction engineering and the basis of reactor design. This paper describes the gas-solid heterogeneous catalytic process kinetics experiments in the chemical engineering and process experiments. The application tube-type differential reactor and internal recycling gradient-free reactor in the determination of intrinsic kinetic parameters is highlighted. The characteristics of the two types of reactors were compared, and the specific experimental contents-ethanol dehydration to ethylene kinetics research experiment, the reaction process, experimental operation and data processing were described in detail. The experimental teaching content can cultivate students’ proficiency in the determination and processing ability of reaction kinetic data of the reactors commonly used in the laboratory.
