Abstract
Taking the RF & Microwave Circuit Design by the University of California, Santa Barbara as an example, the importance of the overall design of the course in the teaching practice centered on the “project” is discussed. Through in-depth analysis of the content of each link of the course, it discusses how to focus on the "project" in the theoretical teaching, homework, experiment and other aspects. The course subtly spreads the many knowledge points involved in a difficult design project to all aspects of the course, enabling students to complete the final design from shallow to deep. As a typical "project" as the core teaching case, this course can provide reference and ideas for the teaching reform of the relevant university professional courses in China.
