Abstract
In this paper, the virtual experimental platform is implemented by MATLAB to realize the simulation demonstration and analysis of multimedia communications. The graphic interface design involves image processing and speech processing. The interactive graphical user interface (GUI) allows users to change the frequency and amplitude of speech signals, calculate the Fourier transform, extract edges, filter and enhance multimedia images, and carry out histogram processing. The program interface is practically simple and easy to operate. This design has good interactivity and scalability, which can help users master the basic theory and methods of multimedia technology such as digital image processing and speech signal processing.
