Abstract:
Genetics is one of the core foundational courses for life science majors in colleges and universities, and its experimental teaching plays a crucial role. In the current undergraduate genetics experimental teaching, it is a key and difficult point to verify the three laws of classical genetics through fruit fly hybridization experiments, and it is also one of the core contents of the experimental teaching. To address the inherent challenges of traditional fruit fly hybridization experiment teaching, a virtual simulation experiment system for fruit fly hybridization is proposed and a blended learning model for classical genetics experiments is designed. This approach effectively integrates learning resources, improves the quality of experimental teaching and cultivates students’ scientific literacy and innovative abilities.
