Abstract:
In response to the prominent issues existing in traditional experimental teaching, this paper takes the cultivation of students' practical innovation ability as the experimental design concept and the production of creative trophies as the experimental goal. By comprehensively applying computer simulation and gypsum mold precision casting technology, a project-based experimental course based on computer simulation for creative trophies has been established, exploring a new model of innovative experimental teaching for the Materials Forming and Control Engineering major. Students independently design the gating system and conduct computer simulation of the creative trophy casting process to predict casting defects and optimize the process, thereby obtaining a reasonable casting process plan. Through processes such as wax pattern making, wax mold assembly, wax tree planting, slurry casting, gypsum mold making, alloy melting, and vacuum casting, the creative trophies are ultimately produced. The experimental teaching design, with the production of creative trophies as the goal, is both interesting and professional, incorporating gypsum mold precision casting and other specialized techniques. It achieves a deep integration of theory and experimental courses, enhances students' engineering practice and hands-on abilities, stimulates their innovative enthusiasm, and lays a solid foundation for the cultivation of outstanding and innovative talents.
