线上−线下混合式单晶X射线衍射实验教学实践及数字教学资源建设

Practice of Online-Offline Hybrid Teaching of Single-Crystal X-ray Diffraction Experiment and Construction of Corresponding Digital Instructional Resource

  • 摘要: 单晶X射线衍射实验是材料、化学、生物医药等专业的一个重要仪器实验,然而受课时限制,传统教学模式下学生难以充分掌握实验技能。鉴于此,构建了一种线上-线下互动的混合式实验教学模式,该模式涵盖课前在线理论预习与测验、课中指导与实验实施、以及课后巩固与拓展实践训练,旨在全面提高学生的单晶X射线衍射实验技能。同时,在教学过程中引入基于CSD数据库构建的晶体结构解析与精修数字教学资源,以解决现有实验教学中单晶结构解析与精修环节薄弱的问题。实践结果显示,基于该线上-线下混合式教学模式收效显著,学生的实验水平和单晶结构解析与精修技能得以明显提升。该教学模式及数字教学资源对掌握晶体结构解析与精修技能大有裨益,可在单晶X射线衍射实验教学中推广和应用。

     

    Abstract: Single-crystal X-ray diffraction experimentation is a crucial instrumental experiment course in materials science, chemistry, biomedical engineering, and related fields. However, due to limited class hours, it is hard for students to fully master experimental skills under traditional teaching mode. In view of this, we have constructed an online-offline interactive hybrid teaching mode, which encompasses pre-class online theoretical preview and testing, in-class guidance and experimental implementation, and post-class consolidation and extended exercises, aiming to comprehensively enhance students' single-crystal X-ray diffraction experimental skills. Additionally, an innovative digital instructional resource based on the CSD (Cambridge Structural Database) for crystal structure solution and refinement is introduced into the course to address the weakness regarding these aspects. Practical results indicate that, the adoption of the online-offline hybrid teaching mode yield remarkable teaching outcomes, and the students' experimental level and abilities in crystal structure solution and refinement have been significantly improved. This teaching mode and digital instructional resource are highly beneficial for mastering skills in crystal structure solution and refinement, and it is recommended for promotion and application in single-crystal X-ray diffraction experimental teaching.
