Abstract:
To cultivate talent with professional safety knowledge and skills and enhance the quality of safety education, we developed a “One Integration, Three Levels, Four Modules, Five Platforms” safety curriculum for chemical materials laboratories. This curriculum addresses existing challenges in laboratory safety education and is designed for students across diverse majors and grade levels. It features four teaching modules: Safety Knowledge, Hazard Identification, Safety Skills, and Emergency Preparedness. We implemented demonstrative, case-based, experiential, and research-oriented teaching methodologies, while establishing a dual-focused evaluation system encompassing both “teaching” and “learning.” These reforms resulted in: innovative teaching methods, restructured assessment systems, reconfigured teaching content, and enhanced instructional information platforms. Collectively, these outcomes provide curricular support for advancing the safety literacy of specialized professionals.
