Abstract:
To cultivate talents with professional safety knowledge and skills and enhance the quality of safety education, this paper constructs a “One Integration, Three Levels, Four Modules, Five Platforms” safety education course for chemistry and materials laboratories, which is suitable for students of diverse majors and grade levels, to address the challenges in laboratory safety education. It proposes teaching content consisting of four modules: “safety knowledge, hazard identification, safety skills, and accident response plans,” and adopts demonstrative, case-based, experiential, and research-oriented teaching methods. The course evaluation system is discussed from both “teaching” and “learning” perspectives. The outcomes of the safety education course reform include deeper implementation of teaching methods, reconstruction of the assessment system, restructuring of teaching content, and construction of a teaching information platform, providing a course guarantee for enhancing the safety literacy of professional talents.
