Abstract:
Practical teaching is a crucial component in cultivating innovative talents in application-oriented undergraduate education. However, practical courses in such institutions generally face several pain points, including curriculum content lagging behind industrial development, inadequate cultivation of professional competencies, and insufficient student self-drive.Guided by the principle of "student-centeredness and fostering virtue through education, the course Modern Cosmetic Science and Technology Experiments has been implemented comprehensive reforms in teaching content, instructional models, and organizational frameworks, closely aligning with industry talent demands and students' individualized development. To address the aforementioned teaching pain points, the study constructs a progressive experimental curriculum content system of “Raw Materials-Skills-Formulation-Testing-Innovation”, establishes a three-dimensional education system of “five stages, double competencies and one core”, and adopts an action-oriented teaching approach featuring “Preparation, Exploration, Exposition, Discussion, Practice, Sharing and Reflection”.Teaching outcomes show that the innovation in experimental teaching teaching innovation is conducive to enhancing students' autonomous learning ability, consolidating their professional skills, cultivating their professional ability, and ultimately promoting the formation and improvement of their innovative capabilities.
