Abstract: This paper analyzes the current situation of experimental teaching of communication principle, and aims at the problems that the existing experiments can not arouse students' interest and insufficient training of students' innovative ability, and introduces the introduction of design of experimental modules in the experimental teaching of communication principles, and reforms and practices the experimental teaching of communication principles. Taking the linear modulation and demodulation system design experiment as an example, the specific implementation process of the design experiment is introduced from four aspects: experimental preparation, scheme selection, simulation design and physical verification. Practice has shown that the establishment of design experiments not only improves students' experimental skills, but also analyzes problems and solves problems, and comprehensively trains students’ engineering but also innovation practice ability.
