面向数据挖掘类课程的挑战性综合实验的设计与实践

Design and Practice of the Challenge-based Comprehensive Experiments for Data Mining Courses

  • 摘要: 挑战性学习作为一种新的教育理念正在国内一流高校逐渐兴起。该文针对目前数据挖掘类课程缺乏系统性综合实验的问题,结合挑战性学习理论,设计了面向这类课程的挑战性综合实验。实验内容包括评论意见抽取和广告投放点击率预测两个题目,每个题目都分别包括完成性和挑战性两个部分。在完成性部分学生利用课堂中学到的基本模型来完成实验,在挑战性部分鼓励学生探索最新的解决方案来提升实验的性能指标。实践结果显示,学生在理论学习深度、实践动手能力、学术研究兴趣以及团队协作方面有较大程度的提升。

     

    Abstract: As a new concept of education,challenge-based learning(CBL)is gradually popular in domestic first-class research universities.This paper aims at the lack of systematic comprehensive experiments in current data mining courses,combined with the challenging learning theory,designs a challenging comprehensive experiment for such courses.The experimental content includes two topics:comment extraction and advertisement delivery click rate prediction.Each topic includes two parts:completion and challenge.In the completion section,students use the basic models learned in the classroom to complete the experiment.In the challenging part,students are encouraged to explore the latest solutions to improve the performance indicators of the experiment.The results of the practice show that students have a greater degree of theoretical depth of study,practical hands-on ability,academic research interests and teamwork.
