Experimental Instructional Design for Optoelectronic Courses Based on Conversion Materials

  • The paper aims to enhance the cultivation of innovative practical skills for students majoring in material physics and conducts a comprehensive experimental research on the course “Optoelectronic Device and Technology.” Taking the preparation and performance test of compact spectrometer as an example, this paper studies how to combine the new up-conversion or down-conversion light-emitting materials and spectrometer devices to realize spectral reconstruction in a wide band measurement range, and applies it to the practical teaching of the course for undergraduates majoring in material physics. Through these teaching contents, students’ understanding, mastery, and flexible application of professional knowledge are reinforced, while their practical and innovative abilities are elevated. The practical application of experimental teaching demonstrates that the ultra compact spectrometers based on new technologies offer significant advantages over existing instruments including size reduction, high resolution, wide spectral range, low cost and high reliability. The comprehensive approach effectively improves the teaching outcomes. At the same time, it will expand the optoelectronic knowledge and improve the comprehensive quality of students majoring in material physics. This research offers valuable insights for the construction of new engineering disciplines in universities and the cultivation of students' innovative practical skills.
