Reform and Practice of Experimental Teaching on the “Three-Dimensional” of Radio Wave Measurement Course

  • Under the background of engineering education accreditation, the reform of experimental teaching systems has become a key breakthrough for cultivating innovative engineering talents. Taking the core electronic information course Radio Wave Measurement as the research object, this study constructs a three-level progressive experimental teaching system consisting of the Fundamental Layer, Comprehensive Layer, and Innovative Layer. By introducing dual platforms of virtual simulation and hardware-based measurement, 32 experimental projects covering six major modules, including microwave parameter measurement, antenna characteristic analysis, and electromagnetic compatibility testing, were developed, forming a new teaching model that integrates virtual and real experiments as well as theory and practice. Furthermore, a three-dimensional evaluation matrix is innovatively proposed, combining formative assessment with summative assessment to establish a multidimensional evaluation system comprising five primary indicators and twelve secondary indicators. Practical results show that, following the implementation of the teaching reform, the excellent rate of students' engineering practice ability assessment increased by 27.8%, while participation in innovation projects rose by 42.5%. The reform effectively optimized the content and methods of experimental teaching, strengthened its practical and innovative characteristics, and significantly improved students' experimental skills, engineering practice capabilities, and innovative thinking abilities, thereby verifying the effectiveness of the proposed experimental teaching system.
