Structure Health Monitoring Systems Based on Wireless Sensor Networks for Rail Transportation

  • Because of the role of environmental loads, fatigue, corrosion and material aging effects and other unfavorable factors, the structure will inevitably produce damage accumulation and resistance to decay. This study uses the strain gage to acquire the structure signal and uses CC2530 module to build wireless sensor networks based on ZigBee protocol and has developed the computer program by Matlab,in order to build the structural health monitoring system. After testing the cantilever plexiglass material, the current load condition is obtained.Based on these obtained information,an overload alarm and damage identification can be realized by frequency domain conversion and data analysis.
