Abstract:
Given the characteristics of the experiment teaching, the requirements for teachers and students, and the problems of traditional metallographic skill experiment course and the experiment conditions of undergraduate teaching, this paper establishes a flexible teaching mechanism by the introduction of open experiment project, during which “open teaching” acts as the starting point. The purpose is to explore the connection between the open metallography experiment course and the metallographic contest, promote teaching and contest going hand in hand, and boost teaching by contest results. Flipped classroom is effectively used to stimulate students’ initiative in learning through increasing their control of class, remarkably improve teaching effect of metallographic skill experiment course, and realize the teaching goal of every student’s proficiency in metallographic skill, thereby forming a virtuous circle of “contest”, “teaching” and “scientific research”.
