Abstract:
The comprehensive experimental instrument for the characteristics of coal’s spontaneous combustion developed in this paper is applied in the teaching process. Based on the experimental platform and the oxidation kinetics testing method for coal spontaneous combustion tendency, the spontaneous combustion of coal by less coal sample is simulated. Due to the small-sized instrument and timesaving experiment, it is suitable for experimental teaching. The practice indicates that the experiments of the characteristic parameters of “

” values for coal spontaneous combustion and of the indicator gas concentration under the condition of programmed temperature-rise help improve the students’ understanding of the theoretical knowledge and the cultivation of their hands-on ability. Moreover, it helps stimulate students’ enthusiasm in professional learning and remarkably improve their innovative practical ability and level.
